David Gottfried Statement on Minnesota Supreme Court Ruling Delaying Special Election, Still Ready to Win Election
Shoreview, MN -- On Friday, the Minnesota Supreme Court ruled that the special election to fill the vacancy in House District 40B will be rescheduled. After the ruling, Democrat David Gottfried released the following statement:
"While it is disappointing that our election has been delayed, ultimately, our work remains the same. We will keep working full-steam ahead of the rescheduled Election Day. Our community deserves representation as soon as possible, and I'm eager to be that voice.
This campaign is about addressing the needs of working families in Roseville and Shoreview. I'm ready to hit the ground running at the capitol so we can lower the cost of prescription drugs and make a smart plan to protect our shared futures in Minnesota.
Integrity & Leadership
As a proud resident of Shoreview and having grown up in Roseville, I seek to carry on the great work of MN-40B within the legislature. This is where my wife and I will raise our family and where we intend to grow old. This is where we both agreed to stand up and fight for a more just Minnesota.
As your State Representative, I will uplift your voices to support our shared values of care, compassion, and looking out for our neighbors. I will use the strength of our district to uphold civil rights, labor rights, and reproductive rights. With your help, I will fight for policies that defend us from the ravages of climate change, assure healthcare for all, and spur innovation and entrepreneurship among small businesses within the state.
Please take a moment to look through our campaign’s website to learn more about me, my vision for our district and ways that you can help if that vision aligns with yours! I humbly ask for your support.
